Aspirant for the 2019 presidential election, Ibrahim Dankwambo, visited former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, for a closed-door meeting at his Abeokuta residence on Tuesday, August 14, 2018.
The incumbent Gombe State governor is one of the presidential aspirants contesting on the platform of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), a party that Obasanjo dumped in 2014 after serving as president on its platform between 1999 and 2007.
Dankwambo declared his intention to run for president on August 4, 2018, noting that his decision was based on calls from different quarters for him to run.
