The Lagos Airport Police Command has cautioned its officers against flouting the Federal Government’s Executive Order on Ease of Doing Business at Nigeria’s airports.
The spokesperson for the Lagos Airport Police Command, DSP Joseph Alabi, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday that the warning was issued by the police commissioner at a recent meeting with the officers.
He said that the Commissioner, Mr Basan Gwana, had warned that any officer caught flouting the order, which is already being implemented at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, would be dealt with accordingly.
“The Airport Police Command is fully committed to the implementation of the executive order, with the support and cooperation of other agencies at the airport.
“At a meeting held recently with officers, the CP warned that anybody caught flouting the order will face an immediate disciplinary action,’’ Alabi said.
According to him, the officers have also been removed from some parts of the terminal, while all the screening desks had been collapsed into one, in compliance with the order.
