Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been included in Sweden’s provisional 35-man squad to play at the Rio Olympics this summer.
Ibrahimovic, 34, is currently captaining his country at Euro 2016 and could potentially delay his much anticipated arrival at Manchester United if he does go on to play in the August competition.
Sweden qualified for the Olympic tournament — which is scheduled to take place between Aug. 3-20 — after reaching the final of the Under-21 European Championship last summer. They will face Colombia, Nigeria and Japan in the group stages.
Coach Haka Eriksson is expected to name his final 22-man squad by mid-July with a maximum of three players born earlier than 1 January 1993 allowed to participate.
