New Arsenal signing, Albert Lokonga has come out to say that joining the EPL club is a huge step in his career. He recently revealed that he is very eager to play in the English Premier League.
According to him, he had been playing for Anderlecht for 10 years, therefore he is looking forward to experiencing football in a new country.
Lokonga added that he is very confident that he can do well for the Gunners and he can’t wait to start.
His words, “It’s a big move because I have been playing for Anderlecht for 10 years so it’s going to be my first big move to another country.”
“It’s a big step, but I feel confident because we have to be. In the football world, you have to feel confident about yourself, but I’m looking to play in this league and I can’t wait to start.”
“I can play both.”
“I can play as a six and I can play like a box to box, but people say that I’m better in the six position.”
On working with Henry, “It’s very great, very great.”
“It was really great [to work with him in the Belgian national team]. A great experience because in the few times I was with him on the pitch I learnt a lot, so it was a really great experience.”
“I think it’s a good thing for me because Thierry Henry was a legend over here.”
