Imo State Governor Owelle Rochas OkorochaThe Imo State All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Senator Hope Uzodinma has come out with a different stance to what Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha’s said that the state owes no one, no dime.

Senator Uzodinma stated categorically that the state was owing banks over N12 billion.

Okorocha had said earlier that he never received a loan from any bank as governor and that he owed no bank.

Uzodinma however, said that it could be checked out for confirmation that all the local government funds and statutory allocations were paid in an illegal manner into a private account.
His words, “This is to avoid banks that are being owed by the state government from recovering their monies.”,

He further revealed that the first bailout fund to the state when President Muhammadu Buhari got into office, that was for the payment of pensioners and workers in Imo state was not used in the proper way as pensioners still did not receive their money, and workers were paid just 70 per cent of their monthly salaries.
