Okorocha-Charly BoyThe recent public embarrassment of the Imo State governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha by Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charlyboy, during the funeral service for his father, late Justice Chukwudifu Oputa, has continued to attract criticisms in the state as some youths under the banner of Imo Youth Parliament, yesterday lashed out at the entertainer.

The youths, led by their president and Imo Youth ambassador, Hon Godstime Samuel, who addressed a press conference in Owerri, the state capital, lampooned Charlyboy for his action, which they described as insulting to the chief executive officer of the state.

The son of the late eminent jurist had reportedly grabbed the microphone from Gov. Okorocha as he spoke during the funeral service organized by the state government for his father.

The youths demanded an unreserved apology from Mr. Oputa within 72 hours or they would declare him a persona non grata.
