Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has called on President Bola Tinubu to enact the death penalty for anyone caught kidnapping.
Primate Ayodele warned that failure to implement capital punishment for kidnappers could lead to the infiltration of the Presidential Villa and the abduction of top government officials.
In a statement released by his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, Primate Ayodele emphasized that if the government is serious about ending the kidnapping menace, there should be immediate death sentences for those found guilty of kidnapping.

He stressed that terrorists require swift judgment to deter their activities, adding that without decisive action from the government, insecurity will escalate.
Ayodele stated: “If the government is sincere about ending kidnapping and insecurity, kidnappers and terrorists in the country should face death sentences.
They should be executed upon conviction. Swift judgment is needed to deter them.
“If the government continues to treat them with leniency, insecurity will worsen, and I foresee top officials being kidnapped. Even the Aso Rock is not safe. I foresee an invasion and operation by kidnappers within the villa.
“Insecurity will worsen, but implementing the death penalty will significantly reduce it.”
