Bayern Munich fans have come out to protest after learning that club legend Jerome Boateng was invited to observe training sessions under Vincent Kompany. The German defender, who is beginning his coaching journey, remains a polarising figure due to past domestic violence cases.
Playing down the controversy, Kompany, who shares a friendship with Boateng from their playing days, made it clear that the arrangement was informal and limited to observation only.

He added that the entire decision has been blown out of proportion, and it shouldn’t be that big of a deal.
His words, “I don’t think it’s a big deal if someone watches three or four sessions and gets a bit of training.
We probably have 20 people a year who always come and watch. That’s why it can’t be made any bigger than that.
WOW.
