“Game of Thrones” is a sadistic show.
If you are a dedicated follower of the show, chances are that you’ve watched it give you a heartbreaking, shocking and upsetting death of a character you loved.
The seventh season didn’t give us any heartbreaking death, unless we are talking about the unexpected death of Viserion, carried out by the Night King.
But, the show has lots of deaths to make a graveyard.
One we can remember was Jon Snow’s death.
Yes, we know he is still alive and kicking while he engages himself in incest sex, but his death in the Season five finale “Mother’s Mercy” remains the most talked about on the show.
The then Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch was stabbed by Alliser Thorne and Olly for giving the Wildings hi total support.
It was difficult for viewers to agree that their favourite Stark was dead. That was until he was brought back to life in season six by the Red Woman.
How about Rob Stark?
We can put all the blame on Robb for the death of the Starks at the Red Wedding. He was a noble man, but we are not so sure we would describe him as anything but foolish.
After he broke his promise to marry one of Walder Frey’s daughters, he still accepted an invitation to a party organized by the same people.
He was killed in Season 3, episode 9, “The Rains of Castamere” with an arrow by a Frey before Roose Bolton ended his life by stabbing him.
Remember Ned Stark?
This was the first heartbreaking death on the show.
Probably the most honourable man in Westeros, he was beheaded by Illyn Payne, on the order of his heartless son-in-law, King Joffrey.
If we survived Stark’s death, then we can survive any other death on “Game of Thrones.”
Which of these was the most heartbreaking for you?
