Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim has come out to say that his current side are perhaps the worst team in the club’s history. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he and his players have to acknowledge that fact to change it, because winning just 3 EPL matches out of 10 is simply unacceptable for Manchester United.

Amorim added that it is not a good situation for him as well because he is currently losing more games than the sacked manager he replaced.
His words, “I am not naïve. We are the worst team maybe in the history of Manchester United. We have to acknowledge that and change that. In 10 games in the Premier League we won three, I know that. Imagine this for a fan of Man United, imagine this for me. You are getting a new coach who is losing more than the last coach. Imagine that. We need to survive this moment. I know that.
The opponents are better than us in many details, we cannot be consistent. I am not helping my players in the moment. It is a hard moment, We have to acknowledge we are in a very difficult situation, all the bad records, losing games at home, losing in Premier League, we are underperforming.
I knew that it was going to be hard to put a completely new idea in the moment but when you lose games and don’t win three games in a row it becomes really hard. So that’s why I’m telling [everyone] we are going to suffer because I will continue to do the same. To help my players is to give them the tools to play in this way but then without training is really hard, then without training and losing games, you can feel it in the end of the game, everybody was changing position and that is something I will not see again.”
WOW.
Manchester United Football Club, commonly referred to as Man United or simply United, is a professional football club based in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. The club competes in the Premier League, the top division in the English football league system.
Nicknamed the Red Devils, they were founded as Newton Heath LYR Football Club in 1878, but changed their name to Manchester United in 1902. After a spell playing in Clayton, Manchester, the club moved to their current stadium, Old Trafford, in 1910.
Alex Ferguson and his assistant Archie Knox arrived from Aberdeen on the day of Atkinson’s dismissal, and guided the club to an 11th-place finish in the league. Despite a second-place finish in 1987–88, the club was back in 11th place the following season. Reportedly on the verge of being dismissed, Ferguson’s job was saved by victory over Crystal Palace in the 1990 FA Cup final.
The following season, Manchester United claimed their first UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup title. That triumph allowed the club to compete in the European Super Cup for the first time, where United beat European Cup holders Red Star Belgrade 1–0 at Old Trafford. The club appeared in two consecutive League Cup finals in 1991 and 1992, beating Nottingham Forest 1–0 in the second to win that competition for the first time as well.
