Ex Everton defender, Michael Ball has come out to say that Alex Iwobi is finding it hard to get used to Rafa Benitez’s tactics at Goodison Park this season. He recently revealed that Iwobi doesn’t really have a favorite position at the club.

According to him, it is clear that the Nigerian has the required desire and effort to thrive on the pitch, but his ability tactically is nothing to write home about.

He added that Iwobi needs to step up his game under Rafa Benitez if he wants to remain an influential figure at Everton.

His words, “He’s complained in the past that he’s not playing in his favourite position. What position that is, I’m not too sure.”

“Desire and effort he’s got, he shows it, when he’s playing out of position he does work hard so you can’t fault him on that but I just think his ability, especially under Rafa and under Carlo, tactical wise, let him down a little bit.”
