ORLANDO, FL–(Marketwired – Jan 6, 2014) – IZEA, Inc. (OTCQB: IZEA), the leader in Sponsored Social, today announced a strategic partnership with Northwest Broadcasting. Under the agreement, the companies will launch a co-branded version of IZEA’s social sponsorship platform, hosted at the domain IZEA.TV. Under the new deal, IZEA becomes the first company to connect emerging social sponsorship revenue opportunities directly to local, in-market television media inventory.

Northwest Broadcasting will be providing on-air promotion of the site via a 30-second television commercial and advertising on its website. The first commercial can be viewed at http://izea.it/18ZEkM4. IZEA.TV will soon launch with other Northwest Broadcasting television stations and in other television markets across the United States.

IZEA.TV is powered by IZEA’s Exchange platform, which allows IZEA’s partners to co-brand or white label their own social sponsorship marketplaces. Media companies can now utilize the system to manage, sell and track social sponsorships through their owned and operated Twitter, Facebook and other social accounts, as well as to build an extended influencer network of their viewers, readers, and followers.

“We will be utilizing IZEA’s Exchange platform to build out a network of local social media influencers,” said John Rand, Chief Operating Officer of Northwest Broadcasting. “In the near future, our goal is to offer advertisers the ability to buy sponsored blog posts, tweets, Instagram photos and other social media sponsorships to complement their local television media investments.”

“The influence of consumers has never been more powerful for brands,” said Ted Murphy, Founder and CEO of IZEA. “IZEA’s Exchange platform creates new revenues streams for traditional television, radio, newspaper and magazine companies by transforming their viewers, listeners, and readers into an entirely new form of valuable inventory.”

“We enable them to convert their audience into a monetizable media asset that they can immediately sell to their advertisers. They get the benefit of expanded reach and social activation, without the cost of creating content and maintaining additional social media accounts.”

IZEA.TV is currently in pre-registration. Users can sign up and register their social media accounts including Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, Instagram and LinkedIn. IZEA will be officially launching the platform for commerce later this quarter.
