American rap star Ja Rule, and R&B singer Ashanti,will be coming to Nigeria for a show on October 1, an event to mark this year’s Independence celebration.
The ‘Always On Time‘ crooners will be will be performing live at the show tagged, ‘Warri Again: The Flagship’, which will be holding in Warri, Delta State on Independence day.
Other Nigerian acts who will be performing alongside the American stars are Davido, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Iyanya, Seyi Shay, Yemi Alade, Dr Sid, Daddy Showkey, Flavour, Pantoranking and Oritsefemi.
There will be comedy from top Nigerian comedians like, AY, Bovi, IGoDye, Okey Bakasi, Gordons, Buchi, Baba Kome, Frank De Don and Young Chief.
Ali Baba and Omawumi will be hosting the event, with a guest appearance from Don Jazzy, while Denrele Edun and Eku Edewor would be hosting the red carpet.
It will be recalled that a duet entitled ‘Always On Time’, by both artistes set the music scene on fire years ago; they may rekindle the energy that song oozed years back.
`Warri Again’ is a show aimed at rebranding Warri and making it a destination for entertainment.
