To celebrate the end of 2018, JAY-Z has shared a playlist highlighting his favorite rap songs of the year. On Monday, he dropped the 20 track collection on streaming platform TIDAL.
Hov’s playlist features plenty of rap veterans like Pusha-T and Nas, up-and-comers Gunna, Lil Baby, and Sheck Wes, and powerhouses like Migos and and Drake. He notably included Kanye West. West’s Kid Cudi-collab track “Freeee (Ghost Town Pt. 2) is in there, in addition to Nas’s Kanye West-produced “Cops Shot The Kid.”
Kanye West has hinted at a sequel to he and JAY-Z’s 2011 collaborative album Watch the Throne, but JAY-Z has yet to address it publicly.
He did, however, take to Twitter address concerns that he was dissing West on Meek Mill’s “What’s Free.” “The line clearly meant don’t pit me against my brothers no matter what our differences are (red hat) now go pick up Meek album . Drake and Meek on there together,” he wrote.
