Chelsea forward Victor Moses is not happy with the way his former coach Jose Mourinho treated him ahead of the Portuguese’ return to Stamford Bridge with Manchester United.
Mourinho who won three Premier League titles with Chelsea will be returning to Stamford Bridge for the first time since he was sacked in December 2015.
Ahead of the coach’s visit, Moses is not fond of their time together, revealing that the Mourinho never spoke to him.
The Nigeria international was sent out on loan three times- to Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham- during Mourinho’s time at Chelsea.
“He never spoke to me. I thought in my head, “He’s got his own players already,” Moses told ESPN.
“I think we chatted a couple of times on the phone – he asked if I was alright at Liverpool, but that was it.’
The 25-year-old has thrived in a wing back role at Chelsea under new manager Antonio Conte.
“The manager who is here now is giving everyone a chance – even the young lads,” Moses added.
“I’m pleased that he’s here and I’ve just got to go out there and enjoy my football. As long as you work hard, the manager will see it and he’ll give you an opportunity.
‘When the new manager came in, I just wanted to see how it went. It’s a blessing for me that he enjoys the way I play and appreciates the effort I put in. It gives you a lot of confidence when the manager believes in you.”
Moses has made seven league appearances for Chelsea so far this season with two goals.
