Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is tired of his accommodation arrangement since moving to the city.
Since he signed for Manchester United, Mourinho has been staying at the Lowry Hotel while his family remain at their luxury £25million house in central London.
Although he does not want to get a house in Manchester, Mourinho is however fed up with the lack of privacy he suffers at the hotel.
“Buy a house? I do not know,” he said.
Mourinho insists that he wants his family to remain in London where they are settled.
“The reality is that my daughter will be 20 next week, my son will be 17 in a couple of months. They are very stable. University in London. Football in London. Friends,” he added.
“So they are in an age where they can’t chase me like they did before. For the first time, the family lives in a different way. We see how we cope with the situation.
“But maybe if I can get a good apartment – not these giant houses, I will never buy that – with a good connection from the garage to the apartment, maybe I do it. But I can’t cook!
“For the hotel and the clothes brand that sponsors me, it is amazing because they (the photographers) are there every day. Everybody knows the name of the hotel. Everybody knows the last arrivals of that brand.
“For me, it’s a bit of a disaster because I want sometimes to walk a little bit and I can’t. I just want to cross the bridge and go to a restaurant. I can’t, so it’s really bad.
“But I have my apps and I can ask for food to also be delivered, which I do sometimes!”
According to a Daily Mail report, Manchester United have no problem with Mourinho staying at the hotel.
Questions on Mourinho’s commitment for United have been raised in some quarters but the club understood even before signing Mourinho that his family has been well settled in London.
Mourinho’s attitude towards work has impressed United bosses who have no problem that the manager does not own a house yet in Manchester.
