Super Eagles legend, Joseph Yobo has been confirmed as the new assistant coach of the Nigerian national team.
This is coming after Imama Amapakabo was sacked by the three-time African champions.
A recent NFF statement read, “The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appointed former Super Eagles’ defender and captain Joseph Yobo as assistant coach of the team. He replaces Imama Amapakabo in the three -time African champions’ technical crew.”
He has been tipped to start working when Nigeria plays against Sierra Leone on March 23 as the race for Cameroon 2021 begins.
Yobo graduated to the Super Eagles after representing the country at U20 level during the 1999 Fifa U20 World Cup and the rest is history.
