The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won the chairmanship elections in all 21 local government areas of Adamawa State.
The announcement came on Sunday following the council elections conducted on Saturday, July 13, by the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC).
The commission declared the results Sunday afternoon, confirming that all PDP candidates secured victories in their respective LGAs.

The PDP’s easy victory was facilitated by the withdrawal of the main opposition parties, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Social Democratic Party (SDP), both of which had previously expressed a lack of confidence in ADSIEC’s ability to conduct a free and fair election.
ADSIEC dismissed the opposition parties’ criticism as baseless and assured that the election would be credible, proceeding with the vote as planned.
