The Kaduna State chapter of the Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN) has called upon political leaders and citizens to adopt a mindset of liberality and reject greed, which it identifies as a silent menace impeding the nation’s development.
The appeal was made by Kaduna State CAN Chairman, Rev Caleb Ma’aji, during his 54th birthday anniversary celebration in Kaduna.
Rev Ma’aji expressed deep concern over Nigeria’s current economic challenges, attributing them to a culture of greed.

He lamented that the country, despite its abundant resources, is suffering needlessly due to mismanagement and selfishness.
The cleric criticized both leaders and the populace for prioritizing personal gain over the collective well-being, warning that this self-serving attitude jeopardizes the country’s future.
He emphasized the need for leaders to lead with the fear of God and for citizens to follow suit, as this, he believes, is the path to progress.
Highlighting the transient nature of power and position, Rev Ma’aji stressed the importance of accountability to God.
He urged leaders to remember that their actions and decisions will ultimately be judged by a higher authority.
