The Kebbi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has revoked the suspension of its State Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Kana-Zuru, and reinstated him with immediate effect.
The party announced the decision on Thursday, October 1, 2026, through its State Publicity Secretary, Isah Abubakar Assalafi, at a press conference held at the APC Secretariat in Birnin Kebbi.

Assalafi said the Kebbi State Working Committee, SWC, reviewed the circumstances surrounding Kana-Zuru’s suspension before resolving to reverse the earlier decision.
The chairman had been suspended by the SWC on June 20, 2026, through Resolution No. KSWC/010/2026.
Following a review of subsequent developments, the committee resolved at its October 1 meeting to revoke the suspension and restore Kana-Zuru to office.
The decision restores him to the full functions, powers, duties and responsibilities of the APC State Chairman in Kebbi.
The SWC also terminated the interim arrangement under which Alhaji Adamu Mudi Augie had been serving as Acting State Chairman.
Augie was directed to return to his substantive position as Deputy State Chairman, while all official records, documents, correspondence and other affairs relating to the chairman’s office are to be handed over to Kana-Zuru.
The party also directed its State Secretary to communicate the resolution to relevant APC organs, including the national headquarters, for information and necessary action.
The Kebbi APC urged its officials, members and stakeholders to recognise the resolution as Kana-Zuru resumes his responsibilities as state chairman with immediate effect. (channelstv.com)
