The Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun has reacted to comments made by Oby Ezekwesili, during an event (The Platform) that was held in Abuja on Saturday, April 30, 2016.
Ezekwesili referred to the economic policies of the present administration as archaic and opaque.
The former World Bank executive also said the policies were hurting the poor, adding that Mr. President was using his dictatorship attitude to run the country.
Reports have it that Adeosun said “I disagree with Mrs Ezekwesili.
“The present government has a planned economy and does not operate a command and control economic system as alleged by the former minister.
“There are no quick solutions to the current economic woes. We are going to pump N350 billion into the economy until we see growth. The job will be done painstakingly, and we will come out of it better.”
The World Bank announced the appointment of Oby Ezekwesili as Vice-President for the Africa Region, in March 2007.
