Former Premier League striker Clinton Morrison has blasted Kerkez’s performance in Liverpool’s defeat to Manchester United last weekend. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, having to cover for Kerkez was so challenging that a calm defender like Van Dijk was forced to look rattled for the first time in a while.
He added that the young LB should be benched in the coming weeks until he is ready to start for the EPL champions.
His words, “It was probably one of the only Liverpool games that I’ve watched and thought Van Dijk looked rattled, especially in the first half. It’s because he is having to cover Milos Kerkez, who I think right now has to come out of the team. He is struggling and does not look like he can carry that Liverpool shirt at the moment.”

The capacity of the stadium at the time was 20,000, although only 100 spectators attended Liverpool’s first match at Anfield.
