It’s no secret that the Kardashian-Jenners are shamed in one way or another nearly every day (or at least so it seems). Whether it’s slut-shaming, body-shaming, or mommy-shaming, the famous sisters are no strangers to criticism from just about every angle. This week, Khloé Kardashian became the target of people’s judgment after posting a photo of her daughter True on Instagram wearing an animal-print head wrap. Naturally, it all went down in the comment section.
It appears some people have an issue with the fact that Kardashian put a head wrap on her seven-month-old, accusing the star of being “ashamed” of the baby’s hair. As Stylecaster reported, some also pointed out that this isn’t the first time she’s covered the baby’s hair with a head accessory such as a scarf or headband.
Others commented that True would “look cuter without something on her head” and told Khloé, “your daughter is so beautiful but please stop tying these wraps on her head.” “These wraps” have a purpose though: For those unfamiliar, head wraps, scarves, and other head-covering accessories are often used as a means to protect the hair, which in True’s case, could be quite fragile since she’s so young.
Those with highly-textured hair also use head wraps and scarves at night to keep their hairstyles fresh.
Regardless of why Kardashian is putting head wraps on True, it’s not anyone’s place to tell her what to do with her daughter. On the flip side, some users encouraged the star to “keep doing her” and “not listen to the haters” — that, and many simply noted how cute and happy True looks. Kardashian has yet to respond to the critics, though we’ll update this post accordingly when and if she does.
