Fred Ambo, who is serving as the acting chairman of the Kogi State chapter of the Action Alliance (AA), has stated that the party’s candidate for governor, Olayinka Braimoh, had the qualities necessary to change the state’s fortunes for the better.
At a news conference held on Saturday in Lokoja, the chairman of the party said that Braimoh stands out among the other candidates in the race for the governorship of Kogi because of his crystal clear vision for the state and his concrete plans to improve Kogi.
Ambo stated that he is convinced that Braimoh will win the election on November 11 since he has visited the majority of the wards in Kogi State.
“Not only is Braimoh the candidate for governor who is the most approachable, but he also stands out as the most intelligent of the bunch.
“Our candidate for governor has engaged people in the nooks and crannies of the state, touring most wards across the 21 local government areas in Kogi state,” said the campaign manager.
“He has presented a very clear and detailed vision for the state, which is encapsulated in his STAT Agenda. ” According to him, “His plans to create and distribute wealth remain the most practical approach to the challenges that are bedeviling Kogi State.”
However, he encouraged the general people to ignore the former chairman of Action Alliance in the state, Musa Ukwenya, who, according to him, is attempting to fool unsuspecting politicians into believing that he still leads the party in Kogi. He said that Musa Ukwenya is attempting to defraud unsuspecting politicians into believing that he still leads the party in Kogi.
He added that after the Supreme Court ruling that validated the current national leadership of the party, Ukwenya lost his position as state chairman of the party. This was due to the fact that Ukwenya had previously held this position.
Ambo stated that his participation in the campaign was required since Kenneth Udeze’s lawsuit contesting Adekunle Rufai Omoaje’s position as National Chairman of Action Alliance was thrown out of court.
“Musa Ukwenya was a member of the Udeze group, but he had long ago stepped down from his position as chairman of the party in Kogi State. Following a string of legal skirmishes, the Supreme Court finally put an end to the issue by recognizing Omoaje as the legitimate chairman of the party. This brought an end to the situation. INEC has confirmed that it recognizes the national leadership that is led by Omoaje.
“We, the executives and members of Action Alliance, want to make it crystal clear that the party is intact and that we support the assignment of Otunba Olayinka Braimoh for the state. This is something that we want to declare unequivocally.
“Without beating around the bush, the AA in Kogi is still one house and body that is focused on winning this election. “We urge all of our members not to be distracted by the activities of the former chairman, Musa Ukwenya, who has been going about to disparage our movement for a better Kogi State,” he added. “The activities of the former chairman, Musa Ukwenya, have been going about to disparage our movement for a better Kogi State.”
He advised the other members to keep their attention fixed squarely on the task at hand, which was to win the election for governor in November.
Ambo, in response to questioning from members of the press, stated that the AA gubernatorial candidate is in the race to win and will not stand down for another candidate, contrary to what has been rumored in certain areas.
“Rather, we anticipate that candidates for Olayinka Braimoh will withdraw their names prior to November 11,” He is taking the initiative and is not going to defer to anyone.
