Bayern Munich defender Dayot Upamecano has said that Vincent Kompany is a good example to follow. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, being coached by a former footballer is a blessing, and it is even better that Kompany was a legendary CB who knows everything about defending.
Upamecano added that learning under a manager who used to be a great leader on the pitch has improved his football.
His words, “We all watched him when we were young; he was a legend for Belgium and Manchester City. He was a very aggressive defender in duels, a leader on the pitch too, a good example for me. He helps me a lot; we do a lot of videos, he talks to me about my positioning. With him, it’s always very intense.”
