Rabiu Kwankwaso, the 2023 New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, has expressed gratitude to God for the Supreme Court’s ruling on the Kano State governorship election.
Kwankwaso described the verdict as a significant lesson for all political stakeholders in the state, emphasizing that it has renewed hope among the people.
The Supreme Court declared Abba Yusuf as the rightful Governor of Kano State, overturning the Appeal Court’s decision to remove him.
Additionally, the court dismissed the appeal by the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Nasiru Gawuna, against Yusuf’s victory in the last election.
In an interview with BBC Hausa, Kwankwaso stated, “We are grateful that the Supreme Court has reinstated the people’s hope.
The 2023 Kano State gubernatorial election saga serves as a lesson to everyone.”
