National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has dismissed reports suggesting that President Bola Tinubu asked him to return to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Kwankwaso also refuted claims that he said he would rather quit politics than rejoin the ruling party.
The former Kano State governor, in a post on his official X handle on Saturday, described the reports as “false, unfounded, and products of political mischief.”

“My attention has been drawn to a statement purportedly stating my position on the recurring political realignments in Nigeria,” Kwankwaso wrote.
“I wish to categorically state that such statements are false, unfounded, and products of political mischief. I have refrained from commenting on contemporary political events and I will continue to do so for the time being.”
He urged the public to rely solely on information from his verified social media handles and other official sources.
“In this regard, I urge the public to only engage statements that come from my public handles and other official sources,” he added.
