The Governor of Kwara State, Abdulfatah Ahmed says his government is committed to increasing the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) to N2 billion monthly.
Governor Ahmed said this while inspecting the ongoing construction of the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service building in Ilorin.
He urged the people of the state not to be afraid of paying tax, explaining that their taxes would not be increased but rather the loopholes of collection would be blocked to meet the monthly target.
The governor assured residents of the capability to garner more than enough electronically, stressing that the people of the state would benefit on the long run as the funds would be used judiciously.
