Labaran Maku Betrayed Jonathan, PDP – David Mark

    Labaran Maku

President of the Senate, David Mark, on Saturday, said the immediate past Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, had betrayed the confidence reposed in him by President Goodluck Jonathan by joining the governorship race on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Nasarawa State.

Maku left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following his loss to Alhaji Yusuf Agabi, during the PDP governorship primary in the state.

Speaking in Keffi, Keffi Local Government Area of the state, while addressing the supporters of the party during the kick-off of the governorship campaign, Mark lambasted Maku and debunked insinuation that President Jonathan was in support of Maku’s ambition in APGA.

“The former Minister of Information, Maku after he benefited a lot from the PDP government, defected to APGA and such decision is not in the best interest of PDP and nobody should say that President Jonathan is supporting his governorship ambition in the state,” the Senate president said.

Mark, however, urged the people to eschew politics of bitterness, ethnicity or religion. He also advised the youths to be law-abiding and respect constituted authority.
