Lazio Doesn’t Regret Not Signing Greenwood – President

Lazio president, Claudio Lotito has come out to label Mason Greenwood a mercenary. This is coming after his club failed to sign the former Manchester United forward, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, Lazio doesn’t regret not signing Greenwood at all because the club does not agree to bringing in mercenaries in the first place.

Claudio added that the Italian club has had enough of mercenaries, and they only pursue players who love to play for Lazio now.

His words, “He is absolutely not a regret, someone who does not accept coming to Lazio cannot be a regret. He is happy at Marseille, he made a choice and that is fine. We do not accept mercenaries, we only want those who choose Lazio. We have had enough mercenaries.”

The club appeared in two consecutive League Cup finals in 1991 and 1992, beating Nottingham Forest 1–0 in the second to win that competition for the first time as well.
