The Caretaker Chairman in a statement through his spokesman, gave the charge on Friday as the party prepares to elect local government officials across the country on Saturday.

Buni equally charged aspirants across the 774 local government areas to respect the rules of the game and embrace the spirit of sportsmanship in the outcome of the congress.

He noted that the exercise, which is a family affair, should be conducted in a rancour free atmosphere in the interest of the party.

According to Buni, the leadership of the party has substantially complied with the dictates of the party’s constitution to promote internal democracy for the success of the congress.

“We should all abide by the rules governing the election to remain a role model to other political parties”, he urged.

Gov. Buni commended the enthusiasm demonstrated by members of the party to elect leaders at the local government level.
