Manchester City had a good chance of signing Cristiano Ronaldo ahead this summer, Fernandinho has said. He recently revealed that Ronaldo’s agent came to the Eithad to work on renewals for some of his other clients.
According to him, the name of the Portuguese legend must definitely have been mentioned at the table, so signing him was surely a possibility.
He added that life will clearly have to go on since the deal didn’t happen eventually.
His words, “I think there was a good, considerable chance. I think his agent was here at the club renewing the contracts of Ederson, Ruben Dias, seeing the situation of Bernardo Silva, Joao Cancelo.”
“Obviously, if you’re there at the table, you can talk about everything and every possible player.”
