Liverpool are reported to be among a clutch of potential Premier League suitors for Caner Erkin who, concedes his agent, could leave Fenerbahce before the close of the January transfer window.
.
The 25-year-old Turkey international has impressed with his performances so far this season – providing nine assists – and it would appear Erkin could earn himself a transfer to England at some point this month.
.
“A few Premier League clubs have been scouting Caner and a few are interested,” his agent Batur Altıparmak told Turkish-football.com.
.
“However, no offers have been made yet.”
.
It is claimed by the Daily Star that Liverpool are one of the clubs to considering an approach for Erkin as Brendan Rodgers bids to recruit another left-back prior to the transfer deadline.
.
The Liverpool manager has seen his primary left- sided defender Jose Enrique sidelined for some time and would appear to be in need of another natural player in this position, with Aly Cissokho the only other option at present.
.
Liverpool have been warned, however, that Erkin harbours no burning desire to leave Fenerbahce and is perfectly happy to continue about his business in Istanbul.
.
Altıparmak added: “Caner is happy at Fenerbahçe and will hold talks with the club first.”
