Liverpool attacker Iago Aspas could be set for a temporary break from his miserable spell on Merseyside.
.
According to reports from Italy cited by talkSPORT, Valencia are set to make a loan move for the Spaniard and have already made contact with his current employers regarding his possible availability.
.
26-year-old Aspas joined Liverpool from La Liga outfit Celta Vigo for a fee of £7 million during the summer transfer window, yet his career at Anfield to date has been largely disappointing.
.
Although he has missed a sizeable portion of time with a torn thigh muscle picked up in training back in October, when he has made it onto the pitch at Anfield, Aspas has failed to make any sort of lasting impact under the watchful gaze of Brendan Rodgers.
.
Aspas has made just 10 appearances for Liverpool in the Premier League, failing to etch his name onto the scoresheet in any of them.
.
However, it appears as if Valencia – who currently lie eighth in La Liga – are not the only team interested in the Liverpool flop this January.
.
Reports today have suggested that Premier League outfit Swansea City – who will look to stun Manchester United once again this weekend at Old Trafford just one week after beating David Moyes’ side 2-1 in the FA Cup – are also considering a loan move of their own.
