Manchester United defender, Luke Shaw has welcomed Romelu Lukaku into the Europa League after his Italian club faced a group-stage exit in the Champions League yesterday.
Inter had to match Borussia Dortmund’s result vs Slavia Prague when they welcomed Barca at San Siro for them to qualify.
However, despite playing youngsters, Barcelona still won 2-1 and Dortmund’s 2-1 home win vs Slavia sealed their qualification to the knockout stages alongside the Spanish champions.
Luke Shaw who played with Lukaku for two seasons at Mufc then aimed a dig at his ex team-mate on social media after the match.
He simply wrote “welcome back” on top of Lukaku’s original post, sarcastically mocking the Belgian.
Shaw is set to feature tonight as Mufc play host to AZ Alkmaar in their UEL clash at Old Trafford.
