Lupita Nyong’O dances to Lil Kesh’s ‘Efejoku’ hit dance song in a car ride with friends.
The actress shared the video of herself and friends turning up right inside the car as they journeyed on.
“West African Jammin’ on the West Side Highway,” the Academy Award-winning actress captioned the video of herself in the car with her Eclipsed play stars, all of them them bumping to the minute-long clip, mouthing the lyrics.
“eclipsedbway day off, here we come! ridealong Lil Kesh’s Efejoku with ladyzjah, vintagepopsoul, pascale_armand and katiecm” the actress added.
Lupita won’t be the first foreign star to grind and dance to a Nigerian hit song as Missy Elliott has also been seen dancing to Lil Kesh’s ‘Shoki’ in her hit single, ‘Where They From’, and later she explained how she came to know about the YBNL artiste through one of her dancers, Comfort Fedoke.
This is cheery news for Nigerian music and for Lil Kesh especially. It goes to show the universality of music and the fact that it is no respecter of boundaries.
This just might open some collabortion doors for the rapper Kesh from the Eastern part of Africa, the U.S and beyond given the level of fans, influence and reach Nyong’O commands these days.
