    AUSTIN, TX–(Marketwired – Jul 30, 2014) – Macheen Inc., a leading mobile cloud application service provider for connected devices, today announced Richard Schwartz will be part of an expert panel during the Oppenheimer 17th Annual Technology, Internet & Communications Conference to be held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston, MA on August 12thand 13th.

    Schwartz is scheduled to speak as part of the Internet of Things Panel, which will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 1:45PM – 2:20PM Eastern Time. The panel will provide key perspective on trends and market opportunities within the Internet of Things space. The panel will be moderated by Akshay Sharma, a senior analyst from Gartner Group, and will also include participants from LogMeIn, Ayla Networks and Electric Imp.

    The technology industry remains the most dynamic sector of the world economy and a core focus for Oppenheimer & Co. The Technology, Internet & Communications Conference provides a broad look across the supply chain at existing and emerging technologies, and offers investors the opportunity to evaluate companies at the forefront of these innovations.

    Prior to founding Macheen, Schwartz sold three companies including SoloMio to Openwave, Diffusion to Vignette (now OpenText) and Ansa Software (Paradox database) to Borland International. Schwartz holds a PhD in Computer Science from UCLA. After completing his PhD, he was a visiting professor in Applied Mathematics at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel, and then served as senior computer scientist at Stanford Research Institute (SRI International) prior to founding his first company. He holds a number of patents and is the author of numerous publications.
