Manchester United are finalising the deal with Jose Mourinho as they hope to unveil him as coach on Wednesday, May 25.
Mourinho is expected to be named United’s new coach following the sacking of Louis van Gaal on Monday, May 23.
United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and Mourinho’s agent, Jorge Mendes met on Tuesday, May 24 to discuss details of the contract.
Mourinho was seen leaving his London home on Tuesday as he prepares to move base to Manchester.

According to reports, the new United coach will stick with his trusted backroom staff of Rui Faria as his number two man, goalkeeping coach Silvino Louro.
United legend Ryan Giggs is the only man standing from the backroom staff of Van Gaal. The Welsh man is however expected to be given another role at the club.
Mourinho is said to be interested in signing free agent, Zlatan Ibrahimovic. His other reported targets included Nemanja Matic, John Stones and French defender Raphael Varane.
He is also set to axe Juan Mata whom he sold to United during his time as Chelsea coach.
