Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has come out to insist that his side behaved incredibly well vs Tottenham. This is coming despite Erling Haaland’s behavior at Simon Hooper during the draw vs Spurs, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, his players have done very well to accept results as they come throughout the season, even when bad officiating leads to the club dropping points after matches.

Pep added that the motivation he always gives his players is for them to do better, not complain.
His words, “We behaved incredibly this season. How we behaved in our not good results or decisions, even after the game and the comments from my players accepting we can do better, is what I want to see from my team and my club. After that, we’ll accept all the decisions from the Premier League or whatever.
I never use these kinds of situations. The motivation is to try and do better.
Sometimes decisions help us, sometimes they are against us. I learnt from where I come from that if you want to win something, you have to do it much, much better than the opponent. When you are level or have the feeling that it is not going to happen, you have to do much, much better. This is what they have to do. We have to try to reduce the number of chances we concede, try not to concede goals, and try to play.”
WOW.
