Manchester City have tabled a second bid for Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez, sources have said.
Man City this week had a £50m bid for the Chile international turned down but have returned with a second offer which sources say in an initial £55m plus £5m in add-ons.
Arsene Wenger has insisted all summer that Sanchez, 28, is not for sale but sources have said they will offload the forward if they can find a suitable replacement before the transfer window shuts at 11 p.m. BST.
Sanchez is presently in Chile for their World Cup qualifier with Paraguay this evening and City have staff in South America to conclude a deal if an agreement can be reached.
He is entering the final year of his contract and has yet to agree to signing a contract extension.
