Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has come out to say that the win vs West Ham was a very lucky one. Pep recently revealed that despite the lucky win, he is very pleased to have secured a 20th successive victory across all competitions.
According to him, City didn’t perform very well vs West Ham, and his players played below expectations in the first half.
He added that the game improved in the second half, and he can understand the display amid the very tight fixture schedules.
His words, “After 45 minutes today we realise we are not going to paint anything beautiful.”
“Second half we were much better than the first half. When you play a lot of games, in the league and then the Champions League, this is normal.”
“We were lucky to get all three points. The mathematics matter at the end of the season.”
