Manchester City playmaker Rayan Cherki has offered a brutally honest self-assessment despite scoring twice in Saturday’s 4-1 victory against Crystal Palace. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
Stressing that his overall first-half display was underwhelming, Cherki stated that it was impossible for him and his teammates to find space against Palace before the interval.

The French international added that even though Manchester City’s story was great under Pep Guardiola, it’s time for a new chapter with Maresca.
His words, “My performance was so-so. In the first half, we didn’t find the space, I played so s***.
I need to show them I want to play, I want to score. Next time I want to give the ball around more. I looked at Enzo [Maresca] and I knew I needed to change it for the second half.
I’m very happy for the win.
Pep [Guardiola] was a big story, we will start another story. We want to prove it and are here for that.”
