Nigerian music legend, Don Jazzy has reacted to assertions by some Nigerians that Mavin Records is dead.
The popular producer gave this reply in response to a question asked by one of his followers on twitter who wanted to know if the record label is no longer existing since its top artistes started exiting.
He asked:
“Mr Jazzy, is Mavin dead or Buhari’s change has hit your label? This one your top artistes are leaving, leaving behind the learner’s and the upcoming?”
Don Jazzy then replied saying they have only fainted a bit and will definitely recover. His tweet read, “Naaa we never die. We just faint small. E Dey happen. Pray for us to recover if you can.”
Reekado Banks ceased to be a member of the Mavins family weeks back.
He shared this on social media at the time, “Today I write in tears, not from a place of of pain, but of joy and gratitude. A place of bliss and satisfaction because I am more than contented with how far this opportunity has brought me.
The last five years have been the most blissful years of my career, The journey has been extremely wonderful and filled with the best experiences.”
