In times past, countless Nigerians have fallen victim to scammers who send text messages to their mobile phones proclaiming that they won a gift which they should pay to collect.
One of their latest target is Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson.
Here’s the message she got recently: ‘hi Mercy Johnson, you just won a new laptop on Mercy Johnson giveaway. Pay money so we can send it to you’.
According to her, ‘I quickly cleaned my make up and went to check if my face was still on my head, and asked my hubby to assure me that am actually the real Mercy’.
