Commissioner for Information Kayode Akinmade however said that due to “serious Pressure” from the Leadership of the PDP before and after the Osun governorship election, the governor is still consulting with stakeholders across the Country on this”
“For now the governor is still in Labour Party even if he will eventually move he cannot take a unilateral decision on this matter,” Akinmade added.

“I woke up this morning as a LP chieftain but going to bed tonight as a PDP chieftain,” he said.
The governor was said to have already informed members of his cabinet and close political associates in a chain of meetings which took place on Friday at the Government House Akure about his decision.
He has remained LP’s pillar since winning his stolen mandate back from former governor Olusegun Agagu after the 2007 election.
