Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has come out to admit that the club is battling difficult times. He recently had his say while reflecting on a disappointing season, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he can only appreciate the supporters for sticking with the team throughout the season, and he wants the fans to know that the club is still in transition.

Erik added that he is happy for young players like Rasmus Hojlund, Amad DIallo, Alejandro Garnacho who have stepped up at some point during the campaign.
His words, “They told me every manager is doing this, that is why! I think it’s very important. It was our last game here, we finish the season with still two games to go but away from Old Trafford. We want to thank them for sticking with us. We really appreciate the team appreciate it and the club appreciate it. We are in difficult times, this club is in transition and the results are not what they can expect. But there are reasons for it, all the injuries, but we’ve still had as disappointing season as we had.
“But, in the disappointment, there’s progress from some good players – Rasmus Hojlund, Amad DIallo, Alejandro Garnacho. I’m always happy when young players are progressing very good across the season. I’ve said before that some good things are happening. Some very good things. There is high potential in the club. This season is not over yet. We will travel to Brighton where we go for three points, and then we go to Wembley. And I promise you that the players will give everything to bring a cup to Old Trafford.”
WOW.
Manchester United Football Club, commonly referred to as Man United or simply United, is a professional football club based in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. The club competes in the Premier League, the top division in the English football league system.
Nicknamed the Red Devils, they were founded as Newton Heath LYR Football Club in 1878, but changed their name to Manchester United in 1902. After a spell playing in Clayton, Manchester, the club moved to their current stadium, Old Trafford, in 1910.
Alex Ferguson and his assistant Archie Knox arrived from Aberdeen on the day of Atkinson’s dismissal, and guided the club to an 11th-place finish in the league. Despite a second-place finish in 1987–88, the club was back in 11th place the following season. Reportedly on the verge of being dismissed, Ferguson’s job was saved by victory over Crystal Palace in the 1990 FA Cup final.
The following season, Manchester United claimed their first UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup title. That triumph allowed the club to compete in the European Super Cup for the first time, where United beat European Cup holders Red Star Belgrade 1–0 at Old Trafford. The club appeared in two consecutive League Cup finals in 1991 and 1992, beating Nottingham Forest 1–0 in the second to win that competition for the first time as well.
