President Buhari has departed for London today, Monday, June 6, 2016, for a 10 day vacation, according to his media aide.
This is coming on the heels of reports of the President’s bout with a persistent ear disease.
Presidential aide, Femi Adesina, earlier said the President was hale and hearty, adding that Buhari was “as fit as a fiddle.”
Adesina in another statement also announced that Mr. President will commence on a 10-day vacation, starting on Monday, June 7, 2016.
Adesina also revealed that Buhari will see an E.N.T Specialist for a persistent ear infection.
Reports have it that while the President was departing for London, at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport- Abuja, he said “Is there anybody that doesn’t fall sick?”
President Buhari announced that the Federal Government will no longer fund foreign medical treatment for its officials.
Prof. Isaac Adewole communicated the President’s directive at the opening ceremony of the 56th Annual General Conference and Delegates meeting of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), which held in Sokoto on Wednesday, April 27, 2016.
