Muhammadu Buhari was joined at Aso Rock by other famous Nigerians on Friday, to pray for the country as its 57th independence anniversary approaches.
Senate, Bukola Saraki, former Vice President, Namadi Sambo as well as many other ministers in President Buhari’s cabinet joined him for Friday’s Juma’at prayer.
This was revealed by the president’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, on his Twitter account (@BashirAhmaad) where he posted a video of President Buhari welcoming his guests.
Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Tukur Buratai, Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, and Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris were also with the president.
Nigeria’s 57th independence anniversary will be marked on Sunday, October 1, with a public holiday announced for Monday, October 2 to mark the occassion.
