Zlatan Ibrahimovic urged fans to be “patient with me” while he decides his next move, as the striker unveiled his new clothing line on Tuesday.
The Swedish star has been linked to a move to Manchester United since announcing he would be leaving Paris Saint-Germain last month.
He had teased a “big announcement” for Tuesday, saying it would “be this summer’s big bomb,” but his revelation was limited to revealing his line of A-Z Sportswear.
The 34-year-old remained quiet on his future playing destination, saying: “There is no confirmation. No saying ‘yes’. You will have to be patient with me.
“You are a journalist, no? I want you to keep wondering where I will go, and keep making stories, because I enjoy it while the stories go out.
“When I feel tired, I will let you know where my next destination is.”
Pressed about Manchester United, he added: “My future is A-Z. Follow A-Z and you will see my future.
“They will be wearing A-Z in Manchester also. Don’t worry — it is coming there.”
The striker’s future has been a subject of intense speculation after he confirmed he would be leaving the French club, by breaking the news on his Twitter account on May 13, followed by a statement on the club’s website.
Since then, the player had refused to comment on his next destination, also saying last week that he would only talk about where he was going when he became “tired” of the stories about him.
He led PSG to four straight Ligue 1 titles, and though he never won the Champions League in Paris, he said on Tuesday it was time to move on.
“If I wanted, I could’ve stayed five more years,” Ibrahimovic said. “There comes a point where you’ve done everything. Mission accomplished.”
With his future still uncertain, Ibrahimovic will now turn his attentions to representing Sweden at Euro 2016, with their opening game against Republic of Ireland on June 13.
