My Govt Is A Continuation Of Kwankwaso’s Administration, Says Ganduje | #Politics

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State has debunked insinuations that the state government may not sustain the overseas scholarships given to several Kano students by the immediate past administration of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso in the state.
The governor, who was speaking during the launching of the state’s free eye care programme at Sir Sunusi Hospital in Kano yesterday, said that the government was keen on ensuring that the beneficiaries complete their studies so that they could fill the vacuum in certain critical areas of the economy, especially the health sector.
He, therefore, maintained that despite financial challenges facing the country presently as a result of dwindling oil revenue, the state government would do its best to ensure that students pursuing different undergraduate and post-graduate courses in several countries continued their academic pursuits unhindered.
Gov. Ganduje also noted a deliberate attempt, which he said would certainly fail, by some unscrupulous elements to pitch the present administration against the immediate past administration of which “I was part and parcel of as the former deputy governor and commissioner of local governments”.
He pointed out that “as the then deputy governor, this government is a continuation of the Kwankwaso administration as I was part of all the decisions that were taken, including the sponsorship of our students to foreign universities”.
He then warned the students to follow due process in presenting their problems and stop being used in blackmailing the government by rushing to the media to lodge their complaints.
